What is the Animator Guild Short Animated Film Contest 2020?
A new online animation contest, free for anyone to enter. Participants have one year, starting from the 1st of February to create an animated short film, of a minute or more in length (excluding credits). The top 10 entries will be scored and reviewed by a panel of judges. Selected entries will also be featured on the Animator Guild Community channel.
The purpose of the contest is to stimulate original animated content, to showcase and celebrate up-and-coming animators, and to train a new generation of animators using the most effective method of learning: direct hands-on experience.

"We meet lots of aspiring animators who talk about film ideas that they have been thinking about, yet never started producing for one reason or another. Well, now is your opportunity. Throw yourself in at the deep end, it's the best way to learn! You might surprise yourself with what you are able to create in a year."
